This is my preferred mod for playing anything with vanilla monsters and weapons. Its meant to be an alternative to Smoothdoom. Gonna take the chance that this was revived to spread the gospel of smoothed and black opswhich is pretty much smooth doom light for Woof! Very tiny mod weighing in at 2. There's still some small finishing touches left, but it's a fully playable mod nevertheless. Sure, it'll make the base game fairly easy, but it'll still give you a challenge with harder mapsets without straight-up trivializing everything I built this thing as an 'anti-frustration' counter for slaughtermaps, after all. The things I've seen this mod do It does have the potential for that, with its story wow, story on a gameplay mod? It borders on 'over the top' but barely even comes close to the likes of Pillowblaster's mods since I care a lot about balance at least to a certain degree. If you want 'something you don't see every day', there's this one little gem called Lithium. Some people might say it's overpowered due to the removal of the new enemy ai, but I use the weapons only version of brutal doom unless I'm playing a wad designed for brutal doom, then I use the full version. It's pretty minimalist compared to some other mods out there but I played through Slaughterfest and Italo Doom using this mod and it was awesome! I highly recommend checking this out. High Noon Drifter is exceptionally satisfying.
